EJ is an award winning documentary filmmaker. He has been jailed, beaten by police truncheons, trashed with water canons, choked by teargas and has slept in the slums; all in the name of chasing stories while working on various films. Because of his involvement in people's struggles, EJ has developed a passion for and has specialized in directing advocacy documentary films which tackle issues of farmers, mining, environmental concerns, indigenous people, education and human rights.
