EJ graduated from the University of the philippines film institute in 2004. He has further studied filmmaking in Goethe institute in Manila and in Hanoi, vietnam. He specializes in directing documentary films and digital ads
In 2014, EJ founded a film school aimed to train working videographers for the events industry: "shoot practical videography school" He had taught thousands of students since.
In 2020, at the onset of the covid-19 pandemic, EJ thought of helping small entrepreneurs by producing video ads with very affordable packaged costs. He started "no fuss video ads"
On his spare time, EJ runs marathons and plants vegetables.
